Hello Jacob. I was a printmaking prof at U of OR way back when your mom was pursuing her MFA. I remember you as a pre-teen or thereabouts. I see that you and your brother have kept up the family art tradition. I met your uncle Arnold back in 1977 when we were in Amsterdam.
That element of the darkly fantastic must have a genetic basis, haha. But I am inclined toward that myself, although more on the mystical side.
Just thought I'd say hi, and encourage/applaud your perseverence.
Cheers,
Ken Paul Prof emeritus.

I own a vhs version of the film, but it doesn't seem to work any more. I saw it many years ago and have watched it many times since. It is always as fresh, beautiful, and provocative as the first time I had the pleasure of viewing it. I have been teaching at the University of Montana for more years than I'd like to admit. I taught photography in the Art Department, then moved across campus to Media Arts in 2007. I will be teaching an experimental film class (whatever that is) in the fall. Students will use a Bolex (among others) and process the film themselves. I would really like to show your film in the class. It is so wonderful in so many ways and I like the discussion afterwards--Is it art? Is it porn? Is it either? Is it both? I would also like to see if I get called to the Dean's office again. Last semester there were complaints about seeing work by Joel-Peter Witkin and even Sally Mann--Wow! These are university students--what does that say about our present day culture? Any chance of purchasing a copy in any format? Or...what if you came to Montana and showed it yourself? Talk to me!

Thanks,

Hi Jacob

You and your brother signed my copy of Grendel #1 many years ago, when I was 15. You lived next door to my aunt in an appartment complex back in Portland, so we came over one day and asked you guys to sign it (sorry for the intrusion!). I also bought some of your original artwork at Future Dreams when I was a kid (one drawing of Longshot, one of the Badger).

I just wanted to say thank you and keep up the good work!

Hello Jai,

Thanks for your comment. It's currently not for sale, but we are in discussions with a distributor to release an official DVD in the future. When we have a solid release date we'll be getting the word out.
